Drawing with glass powder is a unique process that allows for detailed line drawing and gestural expression on a transparent canvas. In this workshop, participants will fire crushed glass colored powders onto sheet glass to create imagery and incorporate stencils to add layered motifs and rich surface texture. After the drawing is complete, the piece is kiln-fired, allowing the glass powders to fuse seamlessly into the sheet glass producing a unified surface. Participants will create approximately three small tiles that will be fired and ready for pick up on October 11 + 12th. The workshop runs 12-4pm & includes all materials, snacks, lunch & assorted beverages. The workshop will take place on Saturday, October, 4th, 12-4 p.m.
